Oh hey! I am back. Been a hot minute (well I believe a week to be exact) and I really did miss writing on here. I took a mini break from my blog as well as insta and I really do feel great. It was almost like all my stress and anxiety went away when I stopped constantly clicking the IG app to waste time lol. Don’t get me wrong, I love the app, love the platform BUT, that being said, it is very easy to get addicted to it and if you aren’t careful, you will find yourself checking the app 100 times within 5 minutes. If you have been there, you know EXACTLY what I am talking about.

Also, since I post everything about my blog on there, I decided it would be a great opportunity to take a step back from writing and allowing myself to be creative and actually think of things to talk about that I actually enjoy and am passionate about.

So since I came up with all of these great ideas of things to talk about.. I figured this would be the perfect time to talk about something I am extremely passionate about that I rarely go a day without…. My morning smoothie. I know you have seen it on my IG but have I ever gone in depth about it? No. So here I am, ready to give you ALL the deets.

Okay to start off, I did not create this smoothie. The lovely, Kenzie Burke (pretty much the food combining queen) created it and I simply added some things to it. I have talked about her before and she is pretty much my biggest health inspo so if you need a kick in the butt to start eating clean, go follow her because she seriously knows her stuff. AND, a bonus, her feed is gorgeous, so it is kinda a win-win in my opinion. Oh, and she has great style. Okay, I am done, you get the point, go follow her.

So back to the smoothie. Kenzie Burke created the Tropical Bub Smoothie. It follows food combining and it is delicious. Every morning, I wake up and I make this smoothie. I drink it while I write out my goals, journal, and read, while of course, sitting in front of my Happy Light. It has so much good stuff in it you guys.. Before I got on the whole green smoothie train, I thought there was no way to get all the good stuff in there without adding a bunch of sugar or passing on some of the essentials. Well, if you want that green smoothie to show the world, drink it, AND enjoy it, then you better try this out.

Here is what is in this delicious, Tropical Bub Smoothie:

+ Frozen mango

+ Banana

+ Cucumber

+ Ginger

+ Spinach (or any other leafy greens)

+ Two dates

+ Ashwagandha

+ Spirulina

+ Matcha

+ Collagen powder

+ Coconut water

+ Water

If you aren’t down to get all the extras, (ashwagandha, matcha, collagen) just stick to the rest of the ingredients and it will still taste bomb. You can also play around with it and use a different fruit or try out different greens. You really can’t go wrong here.

My favourite thing about having this smoothie first thing is that I get so many greens and nutrients in, first thing in the morning. I start my day off feeling amazing. Oh, and the dates help get things flowing in the morning which is great because then you start your day feeling light, with no bloat.

Try this baby out and PLEASE let me know what you think. I would love to know if you get as obsessed with it as I am.
